The 2025 NAGA Convention in Laughlin, Nevada, begins in just two weeks. The annual flagship event of the gamebird industry is jammed full of useful information to help gamebird businesses be more profitable and to save money. But it’s not all business over the three-day event that begins on Monday, February 1, and concludes on Wednesday, February 3.
The NAGA Convention also provides a chance to reconnect with old friends and to make new ones in the gamebird industry. “No one understands the ups and downs of what we go through in the gamebird business like our fellow gamebird farmers and hunt club operators,” explained NAGA President Mike Martz. “These shared experiences have helped to forge long term business alliances and friendships that are essential both for business and just the enjoyment of our lives in general. I look forward to this part of the NAGA Convention as much as I do the seminars themselves.”
The agenda of the NAGA Convention is built for networking and connecting, with breaks throughout the session days. Monday night’s welcome reception sponsored by Star Labs is a great place to start the event. And Wednesday’s lunch, sponsored by Romeo Bravo Software, provides a break on the final day of the convention to commiserate with colleagues about the experience in Laughlin.
But it’s the close of the annual convention that provides the most enjoyment for many who attend each year. Wednesday evening beginning with cocktails at 5 p.m., NAGA’s annual awards banquet, sponsored by Elkhorn Farms & Hatchery, kicks off. The event features a live auction and a silent auction along with a raffle for the Annual NAGA Convention commemorative shotgun – a Beretta A400 Xplor semi-auto. NAGA will also be drawing for the winner of the annual sponsor member appreciation commemorative shotgun, a Weatherby Orion over/under.
“After three days of serious business talk, auctions and raffles are a fun way to close out the event, while also raising money for our organization and our scholarships,” said Martz. “We’re very grateful for our Auction Chairman, Rick Kuhl Jr., who takes on the enormous task of coordinating the auction while also being an exhibitor and serving as a board member.”
The Annual Awards Banquet requires a ticket, which can be added to registration for the NAGA Convention. Information on this, along with the agenda and the Aquarius Hotel and Casino can be found at northamericangamebird.com on the “2025 NAGA Convention” tab.
