With just two months until NAGA’s Hunting Club Conference, we’ve highlighted the top presentations attendees will see in Manhattan, Kansas, July 17-19.

Each year, hunting club operators spend a lot of time securing the best quality birds for their hunting preserves. The best tail feathers. The best flyers. Birds that don’t run. In addition, hunting club operators invest in high-quality cover that will last the whole season to provide good hunts until March. Hunting clubs spend money each year on marketing their hunts online and on social media.

But perhaps the best ambassadors for gamebird hunting preserves are the people your customers will interact with the most. A hunting guide can make or break a trip to a hunting club. Their friendliness, knowledge of hunting, shooting and their dogs, patience with newcomers, or even the rare know-it-all shooter can determine whether a customer is a first and last timer or someone who’ll be bringing friends and families to a hunting club for many years.

The importance of this ambassador for hunting preserves is why the first presentation at the 2023 NAGA Hunting Club Conference is titled Guide Etiquette That Keeps Them Coming Back. Chad Weber from the Orvis endorsed Flying B Ranch will be the presenter. Flying B Ranch is a Diamond Sponsor of the conference.

Flying B is a destination hunting preserve in Kamiah, Idaho, that provides big game and fishing opportunities in addition to high-quality wingshooting. When people are paying airfare and spending multiple days at a lodge, it’s essential their guide provides a high-quality experience that’s also just plain fun. Those same essentials apply to guides on hunting preserves that offer day trip wingshooting and clay bird shooting opportunities.

Regardless of whether a person is spending their vacation dollars or just taking a day out in the field, they’re spending their hard-earned dollars they could be spending at another hunting facility or any other travel destination, for that matter.

Hunting guides are customers’ primary point of contact throughout their hunt and are often a major reason people keep coming back … or choose not to. Chad’s presentation will cover the essentials for any guide and hunting club owner.

This is just one of the many presentations that make this year’s Hunting Club Conference a can’t miss event!
