NAGA Convention Spotlight: Appraisals are Key to Successful Appeals

Appeals and appraisals come in all sorts of sizes. Submit questions about appraisals and appeals before the Conference, so they can be answered during the event....

The NAGA Convention at the Holiday Inn Disney Springs is just a little more than four weeks away (January 22-24, 2024), but there’s still time to register yet! This year’s agenda includes education on items that can literally make the difference between surviving or sustaining a significant loss.

This is definitely the case with our speaker at 1:15 P.M. on January 22, the opening day of the convention. For farms that suffer an outbreak of HPAI it’s likely there will be some elements of the indemnification compensation that a business will want to appeal. But constructing a successful appeal takes a lot of work and some investment.

Tracy Dopko, of Daventry Appraisal Services, does appraisal work for many types of livestock businesses, including gamebird farms. She will be sharing the ins and outs of the appeal process and how a comprehensive appraisal is a key element to increase the likelihood of a good outcome.

Appeals and appraisals come in all sorts of sizes, and Tracy wants to be prepared with the most relevant information she can share. To help, you can submit questions about appraisals and appeals to her ahead of time so she can research any unknown aspects of the inquiry.

Questions should be emailed to info@birdappraisers.com.
