The convention opens on Monday, January 22, 2024, and closes on Wednesday evening with the Annual Awards Banquet.
This year’s event features a wide array of topics, from tax advice and succession planning to bird hauling and receiving, new indemnity values to appealing a judgment from USDA, biosecurity at hunting preserves to first aid in the field and a report on animal rights threats facing the industry to opportunities to find new employees fresh out of college.
“We’re excited to build off of last year’s momentum in New Orleans,” said NAGA President Peg Ballou. “The chance to reconnect and work out our challenges together is equally as important as the agenda itself. We’re going to learn a lot, network and have some fun while we’re at it. I hope we see some new faces while we’re there!”
The event will be held at the Holiday Inn Disney Springs – an official Disney-affiliated hotel. It has transportation to and from Disney parks that can be arranged ahead of time and passes to the parks can be purchased online. The NAGA convention is also offering the same discounted rates on hotel rooms three days before and after the convention opens and closes.
