Gamebird Industry Award Winners Honored at NAGA Convention

The North American Gamebird Association (NAGA) recently celebrated its top contributors during the Annual Awards Banquet at the 2025 Convention in Laughlin, Nevada. This event recognizes industry leaders who go above and beyond in service to the gamebird community.

Lifetime Achievement Award: Brian Beavers

NAGA’s highest honor was presented to Brian Beavers of Beavers Game Farm in Pierceville, Kansas. Serving as NAGA treasurer for over a decade, Brian has been instrumental in maintaining the organization’s fiscal stability. He has also played a key role in organizing conventions and supporting the Hunting Club Conference. Despite personal health challenges, his dedication and positive attitude remain unwavering.

Member of the Year: Sarah Pope

Sarah Pope of MacFarlane Pheasants in Janesville, Wisconsin, was recognized as the 2024 Member of the Year. As First Vice President, Sarah’s leadership and enthusiasm have significantly enhanced NAGA’s events. Her meticulous planning and welcoming presence have strengthened both the Annual Convention and the Hunting Club Conference.

Board Service Awards

NAGA also honored several board members for their dedication:

  • Sarah Pope (MacFarlane Pheasants) – Recognized for her three-year term ending in 2024.
  • Rick Kuhl (Kuhl Corporation) – A key leader re-elected through 2028.
  • Tim Zindl (Oak Ridge Pheasant Ranch) – A long-time contributor, also re-elected through 2028.
  • Andy Hairston (Little Canyon Shooting) – Acknowledged for his service concluding in 2025.
  • Scott Meyer (Oakwood Game Farm) – Recognized for his service concluding in 2025.
