Raising money might not be the first thing that comes to mind when people hear the word “non-profit,” but for organizations like NAGA, it's essential. As the voice of the gamebird industry, NAGA plays a vital role in advocating for farms, hunting preserves and businesses that rely on healthy policy and public understanding. Whether hiring lobbyists, lawyers, funding research or engaging with decision-makers, our work requires financial backing to keep the industry strong and sustainable. That's why fundraising isn't just important – it's mission-critical.
Fundraising doesn't have to be drab, however. Like many non-profits, NAGA events feature fundraising programs to make the exercise fun while supporting our cause.
Gun Raffles
Previously, NAGA announced the Mossberg Early Bird Promotion in which anyone registered for the Conference by the close of business Tuesday, June 1, is automatically entered to win a Mossberg 940 Pro Field semi-auto 12-gauge. The prize will be drawn at the welcome dinner on the opening night of the Hunting Club Conference on Monday, July 21. Register here to enter.
Wednesday night’s banquet will feature two additional shotgun raffles. The first shotgun, a commemorative Weatherby Orion over/under 12-gauge, is sponsored by Friends of NAGA. Tickets are $20 each or six for $100.
The second shotgun, a commemorative Beretta A400 XPLR semi-auto 28-gauge, is sponsored by York Ag. York is also sponsoring the Conference's A/V setup. Tickets are also $20 each or six for $100.
But the real deal is the Shotgun Raffle Combo Special, in which the buyer gets six tickets for each gun for $150!
“Our raffle guns this year are high quality and highly sought after!” said Hunting Club Conference Chairman Dan Barngrover. "We’re so thankful to Friends of NAGA for yet another great gun. And also grateful to York Ag for the second raffle gun along with their support for the conference audio visual costs.”
Auctions
The Hunting Club Conference will once again include both a live and silent auction thanks to our friends at Flying B Ranch, which has supported the Hunting Club Conference since the inaugural event in 2022. Our Auction Chairman, Rick Kuhl Jr. of the Kuhl Corporation, is seeking donations for both the live and silent auctions, which will also take place on Wednesday night, July 23. Please email Rick at Rkuhl2@kuhlcorp.com if interested in donating.
“Thanks to the generosity of Flying B and the hard work of Rick Kuhl Jr., our auctions have been great fun and a good fundraiser for the important work we do here at NAGA, said Barngrover. “All items are donated, which means all of the funds raised go straight to the mission.”
