Discover practical marketing strategies from outdoor industry experts that can help grow your hunting preserve....
A key element of staying successful is to always be moving forward, and this is especially true when it comes to your customers. While repeat business is a cherished thing for any hunting club, it’s a fact that all customer relationships have a beginning and an end. This means, of course, that hunting preserve managers must continually replenish the pipeline of people who are willing to pay good money for quality hunting experiences.
This topic will bat leadoff on Wednesday, July 22, the final session of the 5th Annual Hunting Club Conference, beginning right after Sunrise Shooting Time Coffee, sponsored by MTM Pheasants. The coffee will be helpful because the session is labeled on the agenda as interactive, meaning crowd participation is an expected element of the presentation.
At the 2026 NAGA Convention in February in Charleston, South Carolina, the Murray Road Agency was featured twice on the agenda. Attendees were asked to evaluate presentations from the convention, and one of the Murray Road presentations earned the comment, “This would be a great presentation at the Hunting Club Conference!” The planning committee agreed, and Murray Road owner Tim Brandt graciously accepted. The agency’s Digital Marketing and Strategic Partnership Manager, Will Ireland, will join us in Omaha to present, “Effective Ways to Solicit New Business.”
Will has been an integral part of Murray Road since 2018, immersed in the outdoor industry. He oversees a wide range of marketing disciplines, including social media, email marketing, digital strategy and public relations.
One of those commenters who saw the value of the previous presentation in Charleston is Hunting Club Conference Chairman Dan Barngrover. “The entire time, I kept thinking this would be so helpful for folks to hear in Omaha. The way people get their information. The way they shop. The way they spend money. All these things are changing rapidly, and that means our industry must adapt similarly, especially when it comes to reaching new customers, which is our lifeline to the future.”
Murray Road is considered one of the top marketing agencies that specialize in firearm and outdoor brands. While NAGA has featured many marketing experts over the years, it’s rare to have a top firm that has real skin in the game in the outdoor and hunting industry. The company is also an exhibitor at the Hunting Club Conference and will be on hand to discuss the individual needs of hunting preserves during the event.
The Hunting Club Conference runs July 20-22 at the Embassy Suites Old Market in Omaha, Nebraska. More information about the event can be found at NorthAmericanGamebird.com.
