Providing a high-quality sporting clays experience continues to rank among the most requested topics at the NAGA Hunting Club Conference.
Each year, past attendees, NAGA members and the committee guiding the annual event submit ideas for topics and speakers. Time and again, sporting clays course design and customer experience rise to the top.
At the fifth anniversary edition of the Hunting Club Conference, attendees will hear firsthand from two operators who have built standout sporting clays destinations. On Wednesday morning, the final day of the conference, Adam Miller of Oak Creek Sporting Club and Tyler Scott of Wild Wings of Oneka will present “High-Quality Sporting Clays Design,” sharing lessons, strategies and experiences that help keep customers engaged and coming back.
“We try to provide a good blend of national experts and firsthand experience at the Hunting Club Conference,” said Dan Barngrover, chairman of the event. “We’re excited to hear from two gamebird hunting club operators who know what it takes to keep customers happy and coming back.”
Attendees willing to extend their stay an extra day can also experience one of these courses in person. Following the conclusion of the conference on Wednesday afternoon, Oak Creek Sporting Club will host an optional afternoon shoot.
Located approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes from the Embassy Suites Old Market in Omaha, Oak Creek will offer participants the opportunity to tour the club and shoot 100 clay birds for $36. Trap and skeet rounds also will be available for $7.50. Golf carts accommodating up to four people can be rented for $10, and both 12-gauge and 20-gauge ammunition will be available for purchase at $10 per box.
Depending on travel plans, attendees can extend their stay at the Embassy Suites Old Market or reserve lodging nearby in Wahoo or David City. Transportation from Omaha to Oak Creek also may be coordinated for interested attendees. Those interested should contact NAGA at Rob@NorthAmericanGamebird.com.
“I am particularly interested in making the trip to Oak Creek to see firsthand what their presentation looks like in operation,” Barngrover said. “We really appreciate Tyler and Adam for being willing to share what makes their clubs so successful.”
The 2026 Hunting Club Conference will take place July 20-22 at the Embassy Suites Old Market in Omaha, Nebraska. Registration is $375 per person and includes conference meals and evening hospitality hours. Discounted lodging rates also are available for attendees.
