Come for the conference, stay for the shooting...
The 5th Annual NAGA Hunting Club Conference in Omaha, Nebraska, is a little over three months away, and registration is now open: https://northamericangamebird.com/hunting-club-conference/event-details.
The conference begins Monday, July 20, at midday and ends Wednesday, July 22, at 1 p.m. In past years, that would conclude the group activities. This year, attendees are also receiving a special invitation to visit NAGA member Oak Creek Sporting Club at the conclusion of the conference for an afternoon of shooting fun.
“What a special treat for people who make the trip to Omaha for the conference,” said NAGA board member Dan Barngrover of Longtail Farms, who is chairing the event for the third year in a row. “We have tried to build an improvement into this conference each year. The folks at Oak Creek have made that easy this year by hosting this fun afternoon.”
Oak Creek is an hour and eighteen minutes from the Embassy Suites Old Market in Omaha and is located at 2890 West Road, Brainard, NE 68626. On Wednesday, at the conclusion of the conference, participants can tour the club and shoot 100 clay birds for $36, or a round of trap or skeet for $7.50. Golf carts for up to four people are available for $10. Both 12-gauge and 20-gauge ammunition is available for $10 per box.
Depending on travel needs, shooters can extend their stay at the Embassy Suites by one more night, or book one night of lodging in Wahoo at the Heritage Inn or in David City at the Fairfield Inn. For those staying in Omaha an extra night, NAGA may coordinate transportation to Oak Creek. Those interested should contact NAGA at rob@northamericangamebird.com.
Those with questions about Oak Creek can call 402-545-3111 or email the club at oakcreektrk@hotmail.com.
